Bridal Beauty

Every bride deserves to be the very special lady of the day and look her best. The hairdo, the makeup, the bridal trousseau and how the bride conducts herself is the focus of everybody's attention on this day and you will certainly feel much more comfortable, if you have already done the dress rehearsal first.

Here are some useful tips for the bride:
  • To cover the reddish skin, use sheer color corrector and apply tinted moisturizer of yellowish green or olive green shade to neutralize it.
  • Pink color blush is not for the wedding day, generally speaking. Try bronzer under cheekbones instead.
Bright lip colors may be warm such as orange-red, orange-gold, copper and warm beiges, creams and caramels or cool such as fuchsia, magenta, blue-reds, shades of lilac and pink and make lips look plusher and fuller.
Deep warm lip colors such as yellowish and orangish browns; mahogany, deep warm reds and chocolate and deep cool shades such as cool brown, taupe, deep purple, plum and blue-toned burgundy underplay too much thickness of lips.
  • The subtle look can be achieved by using the air-brush a lot and sticking to light shades such as cream, gold, lime green and brown for warm skin undertones and lilac, plums and soft pink for cool skin undertones.
  • Neutrals are the safest choice to make you seem a bride endowed with natural beauty.
  • Be sure to coordinate you overall look: all the colors should have either warm or cool tone while your hair, make-up, jewelry and gown should correspond to the carefully chosen theme.
  • Hairstyle is usually chosen, after completing the makeup to suit the looks of the bride.
  • If you are not used to wearing heavy makeup, keep your hands away from blue and green eye shadows.
  • For olive and dusky skinned ladies, maroons and brown lip colors are the safest bet as well as the golden tones.
  • Hairstyles are often adorned with pearls, rhinestones, flower buds, golden lace, satin ribbons, jeweled hair bands and tiaras among other hair ornaments and may range from the simplest French braid or bud to complex and elaborate hairdos.
  • Bridal makeup includes all the attention to the minutest of details. Don't overlook them for the finished look.
  • A timeless makeup look will keep your wedding snaps fresher forever, so try not to give in to the fads of the day.
  • Cream foundation with a high pigment level is recommended.
  • Don't forget to cover your neck, chest, area behind your ears with foundation and makeup too. Morning weddings need natural look makeup while evening weddings need more formally adorned brides with darker makeup shades.

  • Lighting also determines your makeup. A well-lit area uses lighter colors while deeper tones are good for darker areas. Fluorescent lighting will add a greenish tinge to everything so avoid green shades.
Try not to be too dramatic but there is a secret seldom revealed: red lipstick makes teeth appear whiter!

Rachel Bilson hot Pics

Rachel Sarah Bilson (born August 25, 1981)[1] is an American actress. After growing up in a California show business family, she made her television debut in 2003 and subsequently became well-known for playing Summer Roberts on the prime time dramedy series The O.C. Bilson made her film debut in the 2006 film The Last Kiss and will star in the 2008 thriller Jumper.

Early life
Bilson was born in Los Angeles, California to a Jewish American father[2] (writer/director/producer Danny Bilson) and a Philadelphia-born Italian American mother,[3] Janice Stango, who is a sex therapist.[4] Her father comes from a showbusiness family, as her great-grandfather, George Bilson, was the head of the trailer department at RKO Pictures, while her great-grandmother, Hattie, was a screenwriter and her grandfather, Bruce Bilson, is a film director.[5] Bilson's parents divorced during her childhood, and in 1997, her father remarried Heather Medway, an actress and the mother of Bilson's half sister Hattie (born December 19, 2001).

Bilson has been noted as having a "self-destructive, rebellious period" during her teen years.[6] When she was thirteen, she and a group of her brother's friends[7] were involved in a car accident, a head-on collision with another car. As a result, Bilson was unconscious for a few days, had a scar above her right eye, and sometimes suffers from migraines and memory loss;[8] she has stated that the experience "changed" her,[7] encouraging her to "stop... getting into trouble"[5] and stopping her from "going down that road".[7] Bilson graduated from Walter Reed Middle School in 1996 and from Notre Dame High School in 1999. During her time at Notre Dame, she appeared in productions of Bye Bye Birdie, Once Upon a Mattress and The Crucible, and appeared on stage together with Katharine McPhee, who attended the same school and would later be a finalist on American Idol.[9]

Career
Bilson attended Grossmont College in San Diego, but dropped out after one year,[10] taking her father's advice to pursue a professional acting career[5] and making several appearances in commercials, including advertisements for Raisin Bran and Pepto-Bismol.[5] She made her screen acting debut in early 2003, appearing in episodes of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, 8 Simple Rules for Dating My Teenage Daughter, and in the short film, Unbroken. Bilson was subsequently cast in The O.C., which debuted in August of 2003. Her character, Summer Roberts, was initially intended to appear in only a few episodes, but became a series regular after a successful run, as Bilson's on-screen romance with Seth Cohen (Adam Brody) became a noted aspect of the series.[10]

Bilson with Adam Brody on The O.C.
As a result of the success of The O.C., Bilson has become well-known among teenage audiences. At the 2005 Teen Choice Awards, Bilson collected three awards - "Choice Hottie Female", "Choice TV Actress (Drama)" and "Best Onscreen TV Chemistry" (jointly won with Adam Brody).[11] In 2005, Maxim magazine named her sixth in their annual "Hot 100 List";[12] in 2006, the publication awarded her #14.[13] The UK edition of FHM Magazine named her 28th in the 2006 100 Sexiest Women in the World list,[14] while the US Edition Ranked her 77th in 2005.[15] Bilson was also named one of the "50 Most Beautiful People" in 2006 People magazine.[16]

Bilson's first film role was in The Last Kiss, a romantic comedy/drama also starring Zach Braff and Jacinda Barrett. In the film, which opened on September 15, 2006, Bilson plays a college student who seduces Braff's character. Bilson had long wanted to work with Braff, having admired the film Garden State, which he directed and starred in.[17] A body double was used for the film's sexual scene between Bilson and Braff's characters, as Bilson specified that she "feel[s] really strong[ly]" about not appearing in a nude scene.[18] One review of the film noted that Bilson played the role with "surprising depth",[19] although another critic described her role as "Glenn Close in Fatal Attraction as an airhead valley girl with a hot bod".[20]
Bilson has stated that she prefers acting in feature films to appearing on television, and that she would like the kind of roles "that Natalie Portman and Scarlett Johansson are offered".[10] She has specified that though she is "grateful" for the success of The O.C.,[21] she feels that the show "is over" and that she is "ready to move on" to film roles.[22] In September of 2006, unconfirmed reports surfaced that Bilson was linked to star in a film version of the comic book character Wonder Woman;[23] Bilson has stated that these reports were untrue.[24] These reports spawned solely from a Wonder Woman costume she wore in an episode of the The O.C.
In late 2006, Bilson was cast in the role of Millie in Doug Liman's thriller Jumper, as the replacement for actress Teresa Palmer; Bilson began filming the role in October of that year.[25] The film is scheduled for a February 2008 release.

Personal life
Bilson began dating her The O.C. co-star, Adam Brody, in 2003. In 2005, Brody gave Bilson a pit bull, Penny Lane, as a birthday present. The couple later adopted another dog, Thurmen Murmen. The two split in November 2006. She has been recently spotted with her Jumper co-star, Hayden Christensen. Rachel has been recognized by several media sources as being a "fashion junkie"[26][27][28] She has described herself as having a "vintage" sense of style, and noted Kate Moss and Diane Keaton as inspirations.[28] Bilson enjoys watching television game shows, especially Jeopardy!,[5] and has stated that if she were not acting, she would be a pre-school teacher.[28] Her favorite designers are, Stella McCartney and Chanel.
Bilson has turned down requests to appear semi-nude in magazines, specifying that she feels that her body "is sacred" and "not there for the whole world to see".[29]

Great Hair Beauty Secrets Revealed!

Here are some tips and secrets to be the perfect diva that you can try at home, without spending a fortune in the beauty parlors and wandering from beauty clinics and saloons. Remember, they are not to be passed on to your friends:

The hot tip to make your hair smell aromatic is to prepare your own hair perfume at home. Mix 6 tablespoons of powdered charcoal, 5 tablespoons of powdered myrrh and 1 tablespoon of powdered benzoin together and sieve it thoroughly. Add 2-3 drops of bergamot oil and 2-3 drops of sandalwood oil, 1 tablespoon of potassium nitrate and mucilage of tragacanth to the mixture until it acquires the consistency of a stiff paste. Heat the mixture over a water bath. Shape it into little cones and dry them. Whenever you wash your hair, light one of the cones while your hair is still damp and let them soak the smell of the cone.

A perfect way to get rid of dry, brittle, dull hair is to massage mayonnaise into your hair thoroughly, starting from the roots to the hair ends. Then pile your hair on top of your head and cover them fully with plastic food wrap. Wrap the pre-heated towel around it and keep it on for 10 minutes. This will help in deep-conditioning your hair. Now, replace the towel with another pre-heated towel and leave it on for 10 minutes too. Now remove all the wraps and shampoo your hair. This cholesterol treatment once a month for your hair is a boon that will keep it soft and shiny.
If you don't have time to shampoo your oily hair daily, you can try this out. Pour some cornstarch into a dish and dip a clean, large blush brush into it. Brush your scalp and hair roots thoroughly with the cornstarch and leave it on for 10 minutes to soak off the oil. Then brush away the cornstarch flakes, ridding your hair with all that unwanted greasiness.

Make a mixture by adding ¼ cup of apple cider vinegar with 1 gallon of distilled water and store it in the refrigerator. Once a fortnight, shampoo and rinse your hair thoroughly and then pour 2 cups of the mixture over the scalp and let it saturate the hair. Rinse your hair with cold water to get rid of all the drab of hair styling products.

A possible cure for your impossible dandruff is vinegar. Massage it into your scalp and leave it to dry for a few minutes. Wash the hair thoroughly and repeat the process daily. Dandruff usually disappears within a few days.

The ancient Mayan women used avocados to keep their skin and hair healthy. Here is their infallible hair mask that you can use too - Mix ½ ripe avocado, 1 tbsp. olive oil, ½ small banana and 1 egg yolk together and massage it into your hair. Cover it with a plastic wrap and leave it on for one hour. Rinse the mask with warm water and then shampoo your hair thoroughly.

Say goodbye to your dandruff by dissolving 2 aspirins in your dandruff shampoo before washing your hair with it. Moisturize your hair with a good conditioner later.

Powder your greasy hair by putting it a little at the root of your hair before straying. For very oily hair, powder your hair heavily and keep it on for 15 minutes. Then wash the hair completely and condition lightly before making the desired style.
To bleach your hair naturally or just lighten their color, rub lemon juice on them and wander out for a walk in natural sunlight.

Make-up Tips for Teenagers

Mothers have been fretting over their teenaged girls ever-increasing cosmetic use and the threat to their skin. Soft and subtle are the two keywords that teens should keep in mind while doing makeup. 15 Ideas for the perfect officewear

Look for more tapered suits with generally relaxed silhouettes
Suit coats and blazers are still predominantly made of wool and other natural fabrics, with blends of stretch and body-hugging materials such as lycra and Tencel, in order to give them a more modern look and feel.

Don't hesitate to purchase solid pattern suits because they will always remain classics. Keep an eye out for pinstripe and windowpane patterns because they're all the rage this season.

  • Pay attention to colour combination; we recommend fluorescent colours - purple, pink, fuchsia, and light greens.

  • If you don't want to follow the existing colour code, stick to conservative colors. Great, versatile colours that always remain classics are medium to dark neutrals such as charcoal, black and navy, as well as earthy shades like rust and olive.

  • Go for longer, leaner jacket with softer and less constructed shoulders. Jackets also sport a higher button stance, narrower notched lapels and flap pockets.

  • Also, look for jackets, featuring minimal lining and patch pockets, which when, combined with sportier pants, give you a more relaxed appearance.

  • Separates are also gaining popularity because of their extreme versatility. Separates aren't exactly complete suits, but rather the combination of a pair of dressy pants with a matching blazer, making for a sportier look. One can wear them occasionally to freshen their style and wardrobe, with a whole new casual yet elegant look.

  • Wearing casual and dressy articles together is also gaining a lot of popularity at workplaces. Instead of wearing the more conventional tie and shirt, try pairing up your suits with fine-gauge knits.

  • Stylish V-necks, crew necks and turtlenecks will all look great under a sassy suit.
Although pleats seem to be making a slow comeback, slimmed-down, cuffless flat fronts are still the norm this season.

  • Spread collar shirts are still highly fashionable, yet collars are now trimmer than they used to be in the past.

  • "In" ties are skinnier than those we were accustomed to seeing for the past few years. Opt for shiny silks, as well as ties with a matte finish.

  • This season's dressy shoes are wide and square at the tips, for both lace-ups and loafers.
Rubber and wedge-shaped soles are also part of the newest trend in footwear for men -- a good thing, as these are more comfortable than traditional heels.
